I ended up with the "June 2005 Open Codes Enforcement Investigations" map for King County that they gave us at the last audit.

Here's what I see briefly. Note the North and South and West end King County designations are my definitions and counts just to paint a picture.

Total mapped Investigations Open = 2608

South End Investigations (South of I90) = 1571 60.2%

North End Investigations (North of I90) = 686 26.3%

West End Investigations (Vashon Is.) = 281 10.8%

Scattered = 70 2.7%
